Discalced Carmelites in the Middle East and North Africa – center of the monotheistic religious world – we want to embrace humanity through our constant prayer, through our life which is a response to the free, personal and unique love of God, and a reflection of God’s history with humanity. We recognize in our regions the beginning of the story of spousal love, initiated in the First Covenant and which will only be consummated in the fullness of time.

We ask for the grace to be a living memory of the wonders that the Lord has accomplished in these regions and in our Order, since the beginning of our history.

Inserted in the heart of each particular Church whose graces, sufferings and aspirations we welcome, may we be a sign of hope and strengthen the progress of those who are entrusted to our prayer.
