Welcome to our website of the Federation of Carmelite Nuns of the Middle East and North Africa, under the patronage of Our Lady of Mount Carmel,
The extends over a vast territory: from Syria to Morocco, passing through the West Bank, Israel and Egypt. We belong to a Christian minority, residing in a Muslim or Jewish environment.
It is in a mosaic of cultures, languages and traditions that we live our vocation as Carmelites, carrying in our hearts a deep desire for communion, fraternity and love among the peoples to whom the Lord has called us, under the gaze and protection of Mary, Queen and Beauty of Carmel.
Presence
Inserted in the heart of each particulier Church we want to embrace humanity through our constant prayer and through our life.
Dialogue
with other cultures and religions, by valuing their riches and discovering in them “the seeds of the Word”.
Fraternity
that invites us to broaden our hearts and our horizons. It makes us participate in God’s universal love for humanity.
