On November 14, Carmel celebrates the feast of all its saints, of those who are in PARADISE and of those who are on earth. They have lived the Carmelite spirituality that contemplates Elijah the prophet, who fixes his gaze on the Virgin Mary, sister and mother, who puts us in the center of the HEART JESUS and lives in silent adoration, full of LOVE, of the most holy TRINITY.
Carmel’s vocation is beautiful! Carmel is a FLOWERED garden of saints that perfume the Church and the world with the incense of prayer. They are YEAST, SALT, LIGTH and in the HEART of the Church they live LOVE.
Who are they ? How many ?
They are friars, nuns, members of the secular order, anonymous friends, seekers of GOD who follow in the footsteps of Teresa of Avila, of John of the Cross, of Elizabeth, or of little Flower, of Lawrence of the Resurrection.
It is the NOW of Carmel: few words, but much prayer that the world may love GOD.
The prayer of Carmel must sustain the missionaries who announce the Gospel at the frontiers who open their hearts and welcome the last ones in the love of Jesus.
The saints of Carmel also remind us that everything is great, when it is done with LOVE and that an act of pure LOVE is worth more than all the works.
Let us ask the saints of Carmel to help us to live LOVE and to send us from heaven, on the existential deserts of selfishness, indifference and individualism, the sweet rain of LOVE that makes peace, solidarity and charity bloom and that break down the walls of hatred.
MARY QUEEN, MOTHER, SISTER of Carmel take us by the hand and reunite us all together in PARADISE! AMEN!
