Merciful Trinity

But what a man! Not the man conscious and proud of his own values. No, it is the human being in all his weakness and his misery.

Here, also, God is somehow “placed in the margin”. But it would be wrong to interpret in that way what the artist has wanted to express.

Man is indeed in the center. At center of what? He is in the center of all the attention of God, of His love and His mercy. The poor and miserable man is encompassed in God’s mercy.

The man is surrounded on all sides by God who was “set aside”.

Full of love, the Father leans down over the man. He holds him near Himself, accompanies him, takes care of him, and cherishes him.
The Merciful Father of the famous parable …

Trinidad1

Jesus, Son of God, empties himself; He descends down to a level lower than the human being. He takes his feet, kisses them and washed them. To accomplish in our favor the greatest act of love, He does the most humble gesture that exists. “I do not come to be served, but to serve…”

Trinidad2

The Holy Spirit, like a dove and flame of fire at one, irrupts from above, coming toward the man. He wants to fill him, take possession of him.

 Trinidad3

For God, man is in the center. But in order to bring man to make God the center of his life. And God has chosen the way of giving, unalterable mercy, overflowing love offered by the Holy Spirit.

This man is me.
I can and I want to be him …
To recognize, admit,
accept my weakness.
To let myself be touched by this
all good God who loves me infinitely.
Love flows and overflows in God for the benefit of man who desires it.

Who would not want to be at the heart of such an exchange?
