Spirituality
” You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and abiding word of God ” (1P 1: 23)
The Holy Land is a theological place, a place of Presence, of encounter with the living God. The land is visited by thousands of pilgrims. We, too, pilgrims in the Holy Land , spiritually travel the most significant places of the revelation, encountering ourselves more deeply with the humanity of Christ, our Bridegroom.
Seeking to live and assume the same feelings as Christ we make the Word our daily food.
Through the Sacraments we receive his divine life: in Reconciliation we rebuild the invisible fabric of communion in a land fragmented by division. In the Eucharist, the sacrament of marriage, Christ our manna, strengthens us in the desert of this world, unites us to his Offering in Golgotha, and fills our hearts with the unspeakable joy of being one with Him.
Mary is the model of our life, the full realization of our ideal, the Holy Land , from whom comes salvation. That is why each Carmelite in the Holy Land welcomes her as Mother and pre-eminent model.
The doctrinal and mystical experience of our Holy Farents Teresa and John of the Cross, enlightens, enriches and directs our lives according to our own vocation within the church.
The irruption of God in our history through the Incarnation shows inculturation, as the necessary path to enter into dialogue with other cultures and religions, in terms of their wealth, and finding in them the seeds of the Word.
